88-Day Work Explained
Working Holiday visa holders (subclass 417) may be eligible to apply for a second — or third — year by completing regional work in Australia. Here's the key info.
Complete 88 days of specified work in a regional area during your first year to be eligible for a second-year Working Holiday visa.
Complete a further 179 days of specified regional work during your second year to be eligible for a third-year visa.
Townsville is a designated regional area in Northern Australia. Eligible tourism and hospitality work here may count toward your 88 or 179 day requirement.
